The course will cover the topics related to the development of the personality from the psychoanalytical theoretical perspective and the personality disorders that compromise social and relational life of the people, thus requiring the intervention of the social worker in the context of a multidisplinare staff.
The course aims to provide a basic knowledge of the psychological approach towards family and personal challenging contexts.
The course, after providing the basic knowledge about the development of personality, will focus on the developmental stage of parenting, in order to allow the future social worker to cope with the challenges posed by the interventions in favor of dysfunctional families . According to the psychoanalytical theoretical framework, particular attention will be dedicated to the issues of transference and counter-transference in the client - social worker relationship.

The exam will be in written mode
The exam will consist of 62 questions with multiple choice answers. It will be awarded 0.5 points for each correct answer and it will be subtracted 0.10 point for each wrong answer . The teacher will assess the understanding by students of the theoretical concepts and the student's ability to apply them to the professional practice
