The course covers the fundamental concepts of microeconomics.
The course aims to provide students with the basic tools to understand and develop specialist economics.
The course aims to teach the theory of rational choice of economic agents and its outcomes in an economy characterized by different forms of competition (perfect competition, monopoly, oligopoly ...). On this basis, students can better understand the content of macroeconomics, economic policy, public economics.
Knowledge and understanding Students must acquire adequate knowledge and effective understanding of the main conceptual categories of modern microeconomics
Ability to Apply Knowledge and Understanding Students must be able to apply the acquired knowledge in the analysis of the behavior of the agents in the different market form
Autonomy of judgment Students should be able to use the acquired knowledge with autonomous assessment skills, realizing the possibility and the limits to represent rationally the different economic behaviors.
Communication Skills The discipline has a specific technical language, which is largely found in all economic disciplines, and that students have to master.
Learning Skills: Students must learn the basics of the technical language of the microeconomics, including its forms of geometric and algebraic language, and show that they know how to serve.

Lectures and exercises with the active participation of students.
The course takes place in the first semester from September, 18. Six hours per week, 60 hours totally.
Written test
The written exam consists of exercises and questions open, but on specific points, or closed (multiple choice). The exam is intended to ensure that the content is assimilated by the student, as regards: the definition of the conceptual categories; the technical aspects of the discipline; the ability to apply what they learned to concrete cases.
On request, one can take the test in English or French.
On request, English textbooks can be indicated.
