OVERVIEW

At the end of the course the student acquires didactic techniques and tools for managing sports activities with people with disabilities and knows the various types of deficiency: physical, intellectual and relational, sensory.

AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES

At the end of the course the student acquires didactic techniques and tools for managing sports activities with people with disabilities and knows the various types of deficiency: physical, intellectual and relational, sensory. In particular, the student, considering her importance, acquires a higher level of emotional awareness, a fundamental aspect in managing relational dynamics with people with disabilities. The student learns the various communication techniques aimed at managing the activities also through the presence of a part of the theoretical intervention to be taken in the classroom and a part of practical work to be performed in the gym. The student also knows and acquires the various methodologies of adapted and non-sporting activities, and the following unstructured activities: objectives, design and programming, the method of conducting unstructured situations, contents, and evaluation. Finally, the student knows the rules and is able to use and adapt the didactic methodology of team play in the various disadvantage situations, including through the appropriate management of motor skills with people with disabilities, paying particular attention to the dynamics of relationship and communication in conducting motors for people with disabilities (mental, physical and sensory). The student is therefore able to design, conduct, and manage adapted sports and motor sports programs, identifying integration as the primary goal of all disability-oriented and socio-affective empowerment as a tool to motivate to be promoters of their well-being.

The type of disability:

    Physics.
    Intellective-Relational.
    Sensory.

Methodology of Physical and Sports Education Adapted:

    Unstructured activities: objectives, design and programming, method of conducting unstructured situations, content, evaluation.
    Semi-structured activities: objectives, design and programming, method of conducting semi-structured situations, content, evaluation.
    The psychomotor approach;
    Team games: team play rules and methodology.
    Organization of educational activities with people with disabilities.
    Relationships and communication with different people with disabilities (mental, physical and sensory).
    Integration / inclusion and well-being as a primary objective with disabled people.

Sports activities and people with disabilities:

    Historical facts about sports adapted in Italy and around the world.
    From the sporting to the functional classification of disability.
    Motorism and motor skills in sight impaired.
    Types and characteristics of Paralympic sports disciplines for people with disabilities: physical, sensory.
    Motor activities and sports for people with intellectual and relational disabilities.
