OVERVIEW

The physics course consists of a selection of the most relevant topics for students in Odontoiatry.

It will bring students to face the problems in quantitative approaches.

The course is divided into modules presented under website Aulaweb, each of which contains teaching units consisting of video lessons, transparencies files, and exercises.

AIMS AND CONTENT

LEARNING OUTCOMES

To transfer the methodology of physics as a basis for scientific learning. To explain the basic principles of physics and their implications in the biomedical field. To teach how to solve simple physics problems on topics directly related to the biomedical field and to provide quantitative assessments and estimates of the phenomena analyzed.

AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES

The student must learn the main elements of mechanics, and thermodynamics, electricity, waves and light phenomena, atomic and nuclear physics, with particular reference to topics of greatest importance for students in the Sciences of
Students will need to learn how to correlate the topics of the lessons on the AULAWEB site with the ability to solve simple physical exercises. Numerous application examples and exercises are provided for this purpose. They will need to be able to apply mathematical and geometric knowledge to the proposed physical problems.
Only the ability to correctly interpret the proposed questions in the form of numerical exercises and / or quizzes can ensure that the student understands the topics of the lessons. The student will have to acquire the ability to understand and correlate rather than rely solely on the mnemonic acquisition.
The training objectives according to the five Dublin descriptors are of the fifth typology.

TEACHING METHODS

The course is held through frontal lessons. Students are required to attend the course and they can find further information on the AulaWeb page.
