TEACHING MATERIALS | AULAWEB |
The course is part of a teaching consisting of two different integrated and complementary modules, the knowledge acquired in the first module will be integrated and completed in the second one with a constant interaction of the topics covered.
The course develops both on a theoretical basis and on practical applications.
The course provides students with the basic knowledge concerning the design of sailing boats, the design fundamentals of the external layout and internal distribution.
The main objective of the course is to introduce the nautical product design. The aim is to provide to the students all tools necessary to manage hull and superstructure shapes, proportions, internal partitioning and furniture.
During the teaching will be addressed the technical, technological and compositional characteristics typical of the sailing nautical product,
The final objective is to obtain the project awareness that the future designer must acquire in order to be able to control the design of any nautical product, configuring it in response to the specific requirements characterizing the expectations of the product itself.
With the support of the lessons and through the elaboration of a project the students will have to demonstrate the learning of project tools such as:
- research and analysis
- ideation and concept design
- development of the concept from the meta-project to the project
- elaboration and drafting of graphic drawings
- sketches, technical drawings, models
- complete illustration of the project (from the conception to the final form) in graphic and oral form.
Teaching is organized in different and complementary activities, the main ones are:
- theoretical lectures and seminars
- educational visits
- practical applications (ex-tempore)
- project activity
The theme of the year will be dedicated to the theoretical and design problems related to the type of medium-small-sized cruising sailboats.
The first part of the course will be dedicated to the knowledge of the boat object through lectures, seminars and educational visits.
The second part of the course will be dedicated to the elaboration of the personal or group project through laboratory activities in the classroom with the help of revisions and corrections of the teacher.
