The thoracoabdominal aortic aneurysms is the most complex disease to be treated as part of vascular lesions

AIMS AND CONTENT

AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES

Knowing the etiology and pathogenesis of thoracoabdominal aortic aneurysms

Identify the correct therapeutic diagnostic procedure in patient with thoracoabdominal aortic aneurysm.

Knowing the basics notions of surgical and endovascular techniques for the treatment of thoraco-abdominal aortic aneurysms.

 

TEACHING METHODS

Teaching consists of 10 hours of training activities including 3 hours of lessons and analysis of the cases in the classroom and 7 hours of operating room

Oral examination

ASSESSMENT METHODS

The assessment takes place through the final exam which aims to ensure the effective acquisition by the student of the expected learning outcomes.
The minimum required passing grade is 18/30, to achieve a pass the student must demonstrate that:


- Knows the etiology and pathogenesis of thoraco-abdominal aortic aneurysms.
- Identify the correct diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in the patient with thoraco-abdominal aortic aneurysm.
- Knows the basics notions of surgical techniques and endovascular treatment of thoraco-abdominal aortic aneurysms.
