The "social" concept of sport consider psysical activity both as a integration factor and a healthy model in psycho-physical well-being. It is therefore essential to have a psychosocial approach designed to effectively manage the relationship dynamics in each sport. The athletes' well-being is open to be influenced by some psycological processes that cocern identity, relationships and social contexts.
The course aims to provide students with theoretical knowledge to understand what the main psychological and social mechanisms, processes and practical skills are to examine a sporting situation in the light of the psychological models studied.
At the end of the course, the student must be able to:
- elaborate the theoretical concepts and translate them into concrete and specific cases drawing on real situations coming from one's own personal experience (sports, coach, athlete, fan) and / or from structured cases proposed by the teacher
- construct a meaningful and pertinent discourse on the constructs studied
- speak of social psychology in a competent way (no common sense), even if not necessarily expert (for example, using appropriate language).
It must also demonstrate to understand how psychological-social theory applies into practice, in the specific context of sport.
Compatibly with and provisions for the prevention of contagion from COVID-19, the lessons will be face-to-face, in the presence, with practical experiences and classroom activations.
