    OVERVIEW

The course covers essential physiological aspects, experimental and computational methods for the quantitative study of human movement and more in general sensorimotor performance.

    AIMS AND CONTENT

    LEARNING OUTCOMES

Technologies, methods, models for the analysis and quantification of human performance, with particular reference to motor control. Three-dimensional analysis of movements. Physiology and physiological signals in motor control. Neural movement control and motor learning.

    AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES

The course provides the essential physiological background and knowledge of

    • experimental methods
    • computational tools

for the analysis of human movements, their neural correlates and other related aspects of human performance.

    PREREQUISITES

There are no formal prerequisites, but students are expected to have a solid background of calculus, linear algebra, mechanics and biomedical signal analysis

    TEACHING METHODS

    Lectures, supervised lab activities.

In the Wearable devices Lab, students will learn basic skills to develop a wearable device with sensors, actuators and internet connectivity to measure and/or modify human performance.
