The management of coastal tourism deals with the management of companies that rely on the use of a combination of resources and unique skills in contexts of proximity to the sea, thus benefiting from the resources that belong to coastal and marine ecosystems or to oceanic areas and coastal. The present course provides basic technical-managerial knowledge and managerial methods to understand the functioning of companies operating in the industry, improving their overall corporate performances.

It typically includes cruises, ferries, marinas and other tourist activities developed along the coast and in the surrounding areas. The exam consists of a written and an oral part (optional). The written test is passed if the student has obtained a mark higher than or equal to 18. To participate in the written test it is necessary before the exam date on the website https://servizionline.unige.it/studenti/esami/prenotazione in time provided by the University and Department didactic regulations.
The student has the faculty to integrate the mark obtained in the written test by also performing an oral test, if in the written test he has obtained a mark higher than 18. The final mark is a weighted average of the results obtained in the two tests. If the oral exam is insufficient, the commission reserves the right to cancel the written exam too.
In the event of a prolonged health emergency, the professors could decide to carry out the examination by means of an exclusive oral test. In this case, a specific communication will be given on “aulaweb”.
