    OVERVIEW

    The course is taught on an annual basis and is supported by "lettorato" to help students revise grammar and the basic structures of the English language

    AIMS AND CONTENT

    LEARNING OUTCOMES

    The aim of the module is to introduce students to the study of the English

    language (phonology, morphology, syntax, vocabulary, semantics) as the

    expression of both a homogeneous culture and a lingua franca of international

    communication. At the end of the course students will be able to critically

    read and analyze texts, especially in the sphere of current affairs in order to

    discuss them with their peers.

    AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES

    At the end of the course students are expected to have a B1 level in English

    PREREQUISITES

    Students must possess an A2 level in English to be able to follow the lessons of the course held by the teacher. Those who did not study English and set themselves up as beginners will have to make the most of the language tutorials as well as the hours of teaching support made available to the students.

    Lectures and language classes

    SYLLABUS/CONTENT

    The course focuses on the analysis of political discourse as well as diplomatic discourse. Texts related to the disciplines will be provided at the beginning of the course

    Most material will be uploaded on Aulaweb. For students who cannot attend at least 70% of the classes further reading will be assigned
