AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES

The course aims to strengthen basic knowledge and critical skills in the construction of educational objectives in the teaching of life sciences in kindergarten and primary school; attention will be paid to the choice of specific objectives in relation to the two school orders.

The educational objectives of the course are aimed at acquiring an in-depth knowledge of the foundations of biology in order to teach the biological disciplines in kindergartens and primary schools in an adequate and at the same time targeted way. It is essential that the operator, future teacher, has confidence in the biological topics so that he can study the most suitable method for these disciplines based also on the class or classes with which he must work. The expected learning outcomes are, in fact, a greater critical ability aimed at simplifying basic concepts which are sometimes complex for the reference classes through the mastery of the topics to be presented which, together with other pedagogical disciplines and appropriate teaching methodologies, will make the pupil learning

the teaching methods of the first semester will be remotely online in teams or videotaped mode available to attending and non-attending students

SYLLABUS/CONTENT

The program of the course foresees the teaching of the basic metabolic dynamics of the animal and plant cell, the language and the transmission of biological information and the interactivity between the various living systems from the energetic point of view. The course aims to understand the main concepts of biology, a paarticularly appropriate approach when associated with an active learning through problem solving, analysis of real data, synthesis and discussion and the use of interactive simulations

Since the texts for the composition of a structured course as described are a lot and parts extracted from some paragraphs of text and reworked, the teaching materials on aulaweb will be made available to all students, both for attending and non-attending students
