At the end of the course, the student:
- will have acquired knowledge regarding the birth and development of non-European francophone literature;
- will have mastered the tools of literary study;
- will be able to recognize the scientific limits and difficulties of literary history;
- will be able to recognize the different linguistic ancd cultural specificities present in literary texts;
- will be able to analyze and interpret theoretical and narrative texts;
- will be able to elaborate short texts of presentation of narrative works for a non-specific readership;
- will know how to present the contents and specific features of a narrative text for a non-specific readership, placing it in the cultural and historical context of origin;
- will know how to plan the display of advertising material relating to the literary text in a professional publishing context;
Lectures with the support of digital technologies. In the event of a health emergency, lessons will take place online.
The course will be set up as group works with the Flipped classrom and Task based learning modalities in preparation for the global simulation. The frequency will be monitored.
The first part of the course aims to present the cultural and literary specificities of French-speaking overseas literature (America, Africa, Asia, Oceania), . The preparation of the Salon de la Littérature francophone will allow students to develop their knowledge through text manipulation. Following a general presentation by the teacher of the specificities of the Francophonie and of the French-speaking overseas literature, the course will be developed in the form of a flipped classroom and the students will become the agents of their training by actively participating in all phases of construction of the Salon:
- choice of the geographical-cultural area of reference
- choice of the author and the work to be presented at the salon
- preparation of illustrative materials (brochures) for the presentation
- preparation of an oral presentation to be used by high school students during the salon

The course includes an ongoing evaluation.
The course includes an ongoing evaluation of the productions of four exercises by the learners. Each student's activity will be presented in the classroom and will consist of the elaboration of materials concerning the presentation of a literary text during the Francophone Book Fair which will be held at the end of the course at the C. Colombo linguistic high school. The performance during this event will be subject to peer evaluation by high school students. The execution of the entire course will be subject to evaluation according to the criteria of adequacy to the proposed target, the completeness of the contents displayed and the documentation used for the preparation of the exercises. In the case of students who will not participate in the complete path, a presentation of a portfolio with all the materials to be presented at a virtual book show will be required.
