Spanish Language 1 (9 CFU) consists of an annual Spanish Language Course and a Theoretical Module in the first semester.
The lessons of the theoretical module (Ana de Hériz) are taught in two groups divided by surname (A-K in group A and L-Z in group B ). There are three Spanish Language Course groups, divided by surname: A-D (Victoria Filipetto), E-O (Silvina Dell'Isola) and P-Z (Anne Serrano).
The course Spanish I as a third language (6 CFU) includes only the Spanish Language Course.
By the end of the course, students will have acquired basic knowledge and skills in the field of Spanish linguistics (in particular with regard to its phonetic and morphological aspects, with a contrastive approach to Italian), also thanks to the support of exercises held by linguistic collaborators, aimed at reaching level B1 of the European Reference Framework.
Theorical Module (for 9 CFU):
The aim of the course is to provide the tools to understand the different linguistic components of Spanish that are used in communicative activities, paying special attention to the phonological/phonetic, morphological and lexical levels, in order to encourage an approach that contrasts with Italian and/or the mother tongues of the learners. Different variants of Spanish in the world will be considered.
Spanish Language Course (9 & 6 CFU)
The 1st year Spanish language Course is aimed at a linguistic-cultural preparation at the B1 level of the CEFR:
“Can understand the main points of clear standard input on familiar matters regularly encountered in work, school, leisure, etc. Can deal with most situations likely to arise whilst travelling in an area where the language is spoken. Can produce simple connected text on topics which are familiar or of personal interest. Can describe experiences and events, dreams, hopes & ambitions and briefly give reasons and explanations for opinions and plans”.
The course consists of theoretical/practical lessons (theoretical module, MT) and language exercises (Spanish Language Course, Lettorato). You must be registered in the appropriate areas of Aulaweb for the MT module and the Lettorato and be a member of the Team where each teacher gives lessons.
For the start of the first semester 2021/2022, it is planned that the lectures and theory module lectures will be held remotely via the Teams and Aulaweb platforms.

The skills acquired will be assessed by a written and oral test for both the Theoretical Module and the Lettorato.
THEORETICAL MODULE (for 9 CFU):
The written test is divided into several multiple-choice exercises (tests) that assess knowledge of fundamental concepts and the ability to apply theories to the analysis of the Spanish language. The short oral interview checks the assimilation of the concepts learnt from the required reading bibliography.
Spanish Language Course (for 9 and 6 CFU):
In the written test, the language and communication skills at B1 level of the European Framework of Reference for Languages are assessed by various exercises and a composition. The oral interview assesses oral expression and interaction skills and the knowledge of the cultural content of the course.
