Provide the basics for manipulating and rendering data with the SAS system.
A key part of teaching is to make students able to solve and solve simple statistical problems by using SAS, in particular through the use of the online manual and examples. The section on building and presenting reports is very much taken care of.
The lessons are held in a computer lab. The language part always follows an exercise that is carried out by the students and whose solution is discussed collectively.
12 hours of the course are reserved by an external teacher using SAS in the profession. Here are some examples and the SQL proc is introduced.
Programming in SAS: Data Steps and Proc.
The Date Step.
• Creating SAS Data Sets from Text and Excel Files.
• SAS Data Set manipulation (selection of observations and variables). Instructions Set by and first. last.
• SAS functions.
• Retain and Sum Instructions.
• Using arrays.
• Read and manipulate DataSetSas of a different type (set, merge, update, proc append instructions).
• Various types of raw data reading and variables attributes. Formats for quantitative data, character and dates.
The Process Procedure Step, Print, Means, Sort, Freq, Univariate, Format, Transpose.
Some graphic procedures. Proc Gplot and Proc Gchart. Global Graphics Instructions.
Programming via MACRO.
The proc SQL

A written test and the preparation and submission of a statistical analysis carried out through SAS.
A written test and the preparation and submission of a statistical analysis carried out through SAS.
Through the written test, it is evaluated the ability to draw simple SAS programs, editing and presenting an activity carried out through SAS software to assess self-employment skills.
