This course aims to define the nautical product through relevant examples for the various types of motor and sailing boats.
This course makes use of both theoretical notions of design, such as icons of product and nautical design, as well as direct interaction with specialists and professionals in the field.
Particularly, the first parts of the course focus on analyzing the design phases, as well as the technical design tools necessary for their development. In line with these theoretical notions, the different representation techniques are also developed and put into practice through tables and drawings. The specific topics of the course revolve around the knowledge and understanding of particular design products, with observation exercises aimed at improving the designer's analytical and critical skills.
Furthermore, nautical design is introduced through theoretical material as well as videos and active observation of the most significant projects; subsequently, students will be required to step back into the design phase and conceive and graphically depict a general project plan, in line with what has been learned.
Various design sectors often operate side by side and interact with each other, training students to develop a transversal and broad approach, especially during the design phases of the project.
