Microbiology examines the features and the diversity of several microorganisms that are responsible for infectious diseases in humans.
The integrated Course aims to provide knowledge about: the intrinsic causes of disease, the main hereditary and congenital diseases, the morphological and functional features of neoplastic cells, the main causes of cell injury, acute and chronic inflammation.

The exam consists of an oral test and takes place in the presence of the four course teachers. The student should demonstrate the ability to critically discuss all the subjects covered in the questions. Through the discussion of different topics, teachers verify the fulfillment of the expected learning outcomes. At the end of the oral examination, teachers elaborate a final mark deriving from the weighted average of the partial marks and from an overall evaluation of the student.
Available dates for examination will be 2 for the winter session and 4 for the summer session. An extra date outside the periods indicated in the course guidelines will be given only to students without obligation to attend lessons.
The exam could be carried out remotely in online mode using the Teams platform.
Verification of learning is carried out through the oral exam, aimed at verifying the real acquisition by the student of the expected learning outcomes: appropriate level of knowledge, ability to apply the knowledge through the description of problem solving; communication skills through oral examination.
The exam could be carried out remotely in online mode using the Teams platform.
