The course of Rheumatology aims to guide the student to acquire knowledge of the major diseases of the locomotor system, in the field of rheumatology and to understand the importance of early diagnosis in order to avoid the cronicity and consequently functional impairment and disability. In addition, the study of the pathophysiologic mechanisms and the clinical presentation of each rheumatic disease is the basis for planning an appropriate physical therapy and educative- rehabilitation program.
