The module has the objective of :
to provide knowledge on the psychological basis of drug addiction and therapeutic strategies, in particular non-paharmacological;
to acquire knowledge on the specifity of the psychoterapeutic treatment of subjects dependent on substances or behaviors.
At the end of the module the student will be able to :
to know the basics of addiction psycology and therapeutic strategies, in particular non -pharmacological ones, and the specificity of psychotherapeutic treatment;
apply the knowledge acquired in the specific professional field of the psychiatric rehabilitation technician, with the development of autonomous judgment skills and communication skills.
Lectures , presentations of pathological situations through cinematic simulation , discussion of cases, role playng.
Definitions , aetiology , psycopathology , diagnosis and treatment of substance use disorders and addictions without substances , with particular reference to rehabilitation treatments.
addictions and adolescents , risk and protection factors, " new addictions ".
Comorbidities and addictions.
Integrated addiction therapy : SER.T , therapeutic communities , self-help , new organization models.
The italian legislation on addiction .

.Oral exam expressed in thirtieths
The exam will allow to verify the achievement of the expected learning results through an interview that evalues the knowledge and understanding skills of the student . It will also be assessed the ability to apply knowledge to the psychology of addiction in the specific field of the technician of psychiatric rehabilitation in order to demonstrate skills appropriate to the specific professional field in the different fields in which the activities of the technician can be carried out ( prison , SPDC , SER:T , Residential facilities, CSM , Day Care Center, etc. )
Finally , the student must demonstrate that he is able to collect and interpret the data of which he will become aware , developing an autonomous judgment and must also be able to communicate, share and integrate this judgment in a field as complex as that of social marginality and more specifically of the psycology of addiction.
