Based on a case-law approach, the objectives of the course are learning the scope of application and mechanisms of protection established by international treaties on human rights, the human rights protected by the inter-american Convention, the jurisdiction of the inter-american Court and the remedies available, and comparing the inter-american system with the ECHR and EU systems.
