Images from different sensors, coming from satellites, aerial or Unmanned Aerial Vehicle, or even terrestrial survey, with the main focus on electromagnetic bands in the spectrum of the visible, are dealt. Particular attention to the monitoring criteria is dedicated. The analysis phase is applied by means of classification techniques in synergy with the course of Numerical Cartography. Several possible applications that will be addressed, to survey littoral area with its infrastructure or to tracking and analysis oceanographic applications.
