Learning outcomes of the course are theoretical and practical acquisition of the techniques either for the 3D and thematic description of the territory by remote sensing, integrating photogrammetric and laser scanner surveys, and for the analysis of different sources of spatial data in GIS, as tools to support the management of the environment. Particular attention is dedicated to the processing phase of measurement campaigns as well as the spatial analysis tecniques and the interpretation of theirs results. Synergic applications of the acquired techniques and the privileged use of Open Source software will permit to the students their immediate application to real problems (for example the characterization of a littoral area following standard procedures).
