Il corso di smart and safe logistics fornisce alcune competenze specialistiche sui sistemi logistici e di trasporto commerciale, con un focus particolare sui sistemi di trasporto automatizzati. Il corso è molto pratico e tra gli obiettivi include l’acquisizione di competenze nell’utilizzo di software di simulazione. Durante il corso viene anche affrontato il problema della sicurezza nei trasporti con particolare riferimento al trasporto di merci pericolose
The aim of the course is to provide a set of methodological and technical knowledge to define models for analyzing and improving modern logistic systems, which make a large use of intelligent systems to make the transport of goods smarter and safer. The method of discrete event simulation will be treated in detail, both from a theoretical and practical point of view, and at the end of the course the student will be able to develop and use simulation models of complex logistic systems. New paradigms of planning and management of logistic networks will be illustrated, and the specific case of dangerous goods will be considered, for which the main methods for assessing safety in this type of transport will be illustrated.
