In questo insegnamento si approfondiscono alcuni aspetti particolari per simulazione di componenti attivi, come rilevatori di fumo, sistemi di evacuazione forzata di fumo e calore, etc, in uno scenario di incendio. OBIETTIVI E CONTENUTI OBIETTIVI FORMATIVI Aim of this course is to get the student to explore some specific details of the Fire Dynamic Simulator software and to stimulate his ability to represent, describe and critically analyze the simulation results, in view of the design process. The educational objectives of this course are closely related to those expressed in Fire Safety Design, because this course is an extension of it. OBIETTIVI FORMATIVI (DETTAGLIO) E RISULTATI DI APPRENDIMENTO Students will improve the ability to run detailed fire scenario simulations, using CFast or FDS. ESAMI MODALITA' D'ESAME The oral examination consists in the discussion of the use of the special equipments included in the small project of Fire Safety Engineering, prepared by students. Students with SLD, disability or other regularly certified special educational needs are advised to contact the instructor at the beginning of the course to agree on teaching and examination methods that, in compliance with the course objectives, take into account the individual learning requirements. MODALITA' DI ACCERTAMENTO During the examination the students will defend their design of the use of special devices, included in the small project of Fire Safety Engineering, prepared by students.
