Deadlines

Enrollment for open-access bachelor's or master's degree programs

The deadlines for pre-registration:

  • from 9 April to 3 October 2024
  • from 4 October and by 6 November 2024
  • with default

The confirmation of registration is active from 16 July 2024 and until 3 October 2024. From 4 October and until 6 November 2024 with payment of arrears.

Enrollment in an open-access master's degree program

The deadlines for pre-registration are:

  • from 9 April to 29 November 2024
  • by 10 March 2025 with delay (i.e. on the tenth day following the deadline otherwise indicated by the educational facilities for graduation)

The confirmation of matriculation is active from 16 July 2024 until 29 November 2024 and until 10 March 2025 with arrears.

The deadlines indicated for enrolment in master's degree courses refer to graduate students.
Students graduating after 30 November and by 28 February 2025 (or another earlier deadline set by the competent teaching structures) may enrol without the payment of any late fees.

Enrollment for numbered courses

The deadlines for enrolling in a course with a fixed number of places depend on ministerial provisions and competition notices: go to the admission notices page and consult the one for the course you are interested in.

Enrollment years after the first

The deadlines are:

  • from July 16 to October 3, 2024
  • from October 4 and by November 6, 2024 with arrears

Out of course of the former system* and beyond the normal term, the due dates are:

  • from July 16 to October 3, 2024
  • from October 4 and by November 6, 2024 with arrears

*For off-course students under the former system: exceptions submitted after the deadline of November 6, 2024 may be accepted by March 31, 2025.

Payment of tuition fees

  • First instalment € 136: by 03.10.2024, of which € 16 stamp duty + € 120 regional tax (minimum amount)
     
  • Second instalment: by 13.12.2024. It is calculated on the basis of the table published on the page How taxes work. With the second instalment, any debit balance of the regional tax is also paid. From A.Y. 2024/2025 it is possible to pay 50% of the amount by 13.11.2024
     
  • Third instalment: by 20.06.2025. This is the adjustment instalment, calculated on the basis of the table published on the page How taxes work, with a possibility of paying 50% of the amount by 20.05.2025

Transfers

If you want to apply for transfer the deadlines are:

  • Inbound Transfer:
    • from 16 July to 3 October 2024
    • from 4 October and by 6 November 2024 with delay
      this deadline refers both to the application for leave of absence at the other university and to the application for enrolment at Unige, on pain of payment of the late payment fee
       
  • Incoming transfer to courses with a programmed number of students (years following the first year): for these courses transfer applications may only be submitted following clearance to be requested from UniGe by 30 August 2024.
     
  • Outgoing transfers: for outgoing transfers the UniGe student must take into account the deadlines set by the other University.

Course transitions

  •  Foropen access coursesthe deadlines are:
    • from 16 July to 3 October 2024
    • from 4 October and by 6 November 2024 with late payment
      N.B. it is only necessary to confirm the transfer after taking the examinations of the previous degree course. With the changeover, it will no longer be possible to take the exams in the previous year's syllabus, even for courses that share some of the exams.
  • For scheduled numbered courses within the deadlines set by the admissions announcements and any sliding-scale procedures.
