On the occasion of the confirmative referendum on the constitutional revision law on the judicial system, scheduled for Sunday 22 and Monday 23 March 2026, the University of Genoa has decided to suspend classes on Monday 23 March 2026 at all of the University's teaching facilities.

The decision takes into account the large number of students enrolled at UniGe who reside outside the Liguria Region, often in locations distant from the university premises, and the commitment required of those who will be acting as polling station tellers.

The suspension of teaching activities is designed to facilitate the exercise of the right to vote and to allow students involved in the election to take part in polling station activities.
