Contents

The wealth of artistic and cultural heritage is a characteristic element of Italian identity. Italy's image abroad derives from the special connection between a multifaceted territory and landscape and the works that qualify and distinguish them: cities, churches, palaces, monuments and museums. Studying the history of art in Italy has a special civic significance and value and so does working in one of the many fields related to this field.

Any investment of resources on heritage is productive. Opportunities for professional employment are increasing in the different fields-study, management, conservation and restoration, new technologies, communication-and we can all see that from this heritage our country gains prestige, wealth, work.

The Master's Course in Art History trains specialists who can work in many sectors of the economic system that gravitates around art and artistic heritage. Therefore, in the course

  • the history of art of the past and present
  • is studied.
  • attention is paid to the newest artistic trends
  • several methodological and supporting disciplines are provided
  • legislation and management of cultural heritage and business creation are studied
  • several educational and professionalizing activities are planned
  • there is a wide range of optional subjects, so that everyone can follow their own inclinations and predilections.
