Course Council

This is the body that can help you solve problems in your course. You can contact us for problems concerning the organisation of your course and teaching.

What does it do?

The most important functions relate to:

  • facilitating the relationship between students and lecturers
  • approving student paperwork (study plans, recognition of Erasmus exams, progression and transfers)
  • assessing the range of courses on offer
  • approve curricular and extracurricular activities (events, work placements, conferences)

Department Council

The Departmental Council is the body responsible for making decisions regarding the Department’s activities. You can contact us regarding matters relating to the organisation of teaching and research.

What does it do?

The Departmental Council is responsible for approving:

  • internal financial matters
  • student matters (recognition of Erasmus exams, requests for early graduation)
  • course programmes
  • exam dates and degree award sessions
  • research projects
