Course Council Coordinator

It is in charge of:

  • carrying out all the functions assigned by the University Statute and the University Teaching Regulations
  • convoking the CCS and bringing for approval the SUA-CdS, SMA, RCRs
  • communicating to the CCS the results of all the activities carried out by the Commissions and the various activity managers
.

  • revise periodically, in agreement with colleagues in the scientific disciplinary fields involved and in consultation with the Student Representatives, the training course on the basis of the data and indications resulting from the monitoring activities and organize its delivery, also taking into account the needs of facilities and services in agreement with the Director of DAD

  • coordinate those responsible for the activities of the CdS and, in particular, the Coordination Committee, consisting of the four seat coordinators, profs. Carlo Tosco (PoliTo), Marco Devecchi (UniTo), Francesca Mazzino (UniGe), and Ilda Vagge (UniMi), as indicated in the inter-university agreement, and the Teaching Committee, consisting of Professors Carlo Tosco, Bianca Maria Rinaldi, Marco Devecchi, Francesca Mazzino, Adriana Ghersi, and Ilda Vagge

The Course of Study (CdS) is equipped with a Quality Assurance (QA) system to keep the management processes under control.

The LSC operates within the structures and organizational arrangements of the departments of:

  • UniGe
    • Architecture and Design - DAD
  • University of Milan
    • Department of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences Production, Territory, Agroenergy,
  • University of Turin
    • Department of Agricultural, Forestry and Food Sciences - DISAFA

    • Department of Interateneo of Sciences, Design and Land Policy - DIST

Course of Study QA Committee

  • identify the training demand and training objectives
  • develop the training course

It is responsible for:

  • compiling and updating within the established deadlines the Single Annual Form (SUA-CdS)
  • analyzing and compiling the Annual Monitoring Form (SMA)
  • editing the Cyclic Review Report and monitoring the progress of the proposed improvement activities
  • analyzing the reports and requests from students, faculty, TA staff in accordance with the procedures established by the University
  • disseminate within the LSC the culture of educational quality and self-evaluation
  • analyze teaching evaluation questionnaires, Almalaurea questionnaires and other information sources (ex. questionnaires from institutions or host companies)
  • monitor student careers

  • analyze the report of the School Joint Commission, working in concert with the CoS Contact Person for the Commission itself, Prof. Adriana Ghersi

Teaching Commission

It is in charge of:

  • revising periodically the training course based on data and indications from monitoring activities and organizing its delivery, also taking into account the needs of facilities and services
  • verifying the congruity between CFUs and teaching load and progression in semesters
  • carrying out the harmonization of the programs of training activities

  • revise periodically the entry requirements and arrangements for mid-term and final reviews

  • check the completeness of information in teaching records
  • check the adequacy of teaching facilities and student services

Steering Committee

It is responsible for:

  • expressing the needs from society and the world of work and culture
  • providing an opinion between the consistency of the course of study and specific training activities with the demand for training

Contact person for students with disabilities or specific learning disorders

The contact person for students with disabilities or DSA, while actively cooperating with the LOD, operates at the DAD level. Appointment and assignment of functions therefore occur at the Department level.

She is in charge of working with the University's Services Sector for Students with Disabilities and Students with DSA to ensure that those eligible who request it have access to the services dedicated to them, as provided for in Article 3 of the University Service Charter for Students with Disabilities and Title III of the University Regulations for Services to Students with Disabilities.

It is in charge of:

  • revising periodically the agreement stipulated between the four universities: the University of Genoa (administrative headquarters), the University of Turin, the Polytechnic University of Turin and the University of Milan
  • coordinating all the activities carried out in the four universities

  • organizing the collection of questionnaires and opinions of the institutions at which internships and internships
  • idirecting students of the LSC and publicizing the activities of the Placement Sector and work orientation services of the University of Genoa

  • managing class schedules so as to avoid overlapping

The head of lecture schedule coordination, while actively cooperating with the CoS, operates at the DAD level. Appointment and assignment of functions therefore occur at the Department level.

Responsible for international activities

The Head of International Activities and the contact person for the DAD actively collaborate to develop international contacts in the interest of the DAD.

The Head of International Activities also works in coordination with the Erasmus Commission of the DAD and the Internationalization Commission of the Polytechnic School, of which he is a member.

They are in charge of:

  • promoting and coordinating outgoing and incoming student mobility through all international mobility programs
  • promoting faculty mobility and internationalization of the BoS through outward promotional activities
  • coordinating the activities of the Office of International Relations Architecture

Responsible for Departmental Quality Assurance (RAQ)

The Quality Assurance Officer, while actively collaborating with the LOD, operates at the DAD level. Appointment and assignment of functions therefore occur at the Department level.

Joint School Committee

Responsible for departmental mentoring activities

The Department's Head of Tutoring Activities works in coordination with the faculty liaison for the CdS, the Orientation and Tutoring Commission of the Polytechnic School and the University's In-Place Orientation and Tutoring Sector.

He is in charge of:

  • coordinating and organizing the activities of the reception tutors for the conduct of freshmen mentoring activities
  • coordinating and organizing the activities of the teaching tutors for the conduct of tutoring and didactic-integrative, preparatory and remedial activities
.

Responsible
of orientation

The Department's Orientation Officer works in coordination with the DAD Orientation and Communication Commission, the Orientation and Tutoring Commission of the Polytechnic School, the University's Undergraduate Studies Orientation Sector, the University's In-Progress Orientation and Tutoring Sector, and the University's Placement and Job Guidance Services Sector.

He is in charge of:

Inbound Orientation

  • Participating in and contributing to orientation activities for prospective students: DAD Short Course Guide, Open Week, Open Day, Orientation Fair, mock admission tests for degree programs with programmed number, Pathways for Transversal Skills and Orientation (PCTO) (formerly Alternanza Scuola Lavoro)
  • organize activities to promote the CdS externally

Ingoing Orientation

  • individual interviews for students for orientation and re-orientation
  • Regulant Project: A joint and coordinated action at the University level in order to promote a decrease in the phenomenon of dropout, through specific support actions for students during the first year

  • events aimed at the presentation of job and internship offers

  • evaluating individual study plans and requests for changes in study plans submitted by students by the set deadline
  • evaluating student paperwork for course of study transition and recognition of previous career

  • participating in the planning of other educational activities with the CoS Coordinator
  • evaluating students' applications and proceeding to record CFUs corresponding to the hours performed according to the types of activities
