Course Council

This is the body that can help you solve problems in your course. You can contact us for problems that affect the organization of your course and teaching.

What does it do?

 

The most important functions concern:

  • mediating the relationship between students and lecturers
  • approving student files (study plan, recognition of Erasmus exams, transitions and transfers)
  • evaluate the educational offer
  • approve curricular and extracurricular activities (events, internships, conferences)

Academic Senate

 

It is UniGe's governing body with political and didactic guidance: you can contact us to resolve issues of university policy and space management in the university.

 

What does it do?

 

The most important functions are:

  • establish and amend regulations
  • offer opinions to the Board
  • provide an opinion on the budget and the management of finances
  • manage the UniGe educational offer

Department Council

 

The Department Council is the body in which decisions are made concerning the activities carried out by the Department. You can contact us for questions relating to the organisation of teaching and research.

 

 

What does it do?

 

The Department Council is responsible for approving:

  • internal economic matters
  • student applications (recognition of Erasmus exams, requests for early graduation)
  • training offer
  • examination and degree sessions
  • research projects

School Board

 

We take care of the management of the facilities and the departments that are part of it. You can contact us for problems concerning assessment questionnaires, classroom and space management.

 

What does it do?

 

The School Council deals with:

  • infrastructure and services
  • educational offer
  • operating costs
  • examination of course and teaching evaluation forms
  • approval of certain departmental decisions

Board of Directors

 

This is the university's governing body for political and financial guidance: you can contact us for general questions about the student contribution system and the management of UniGe's spaces/facilities.

 

What does it do?

 

The most important decisions concern:

  • approval of the budget
  • forecasting of future expenses
  • utilisation of financial and personnel resources
  • determination of fees and benefits
