Evaluation

The final grade results from the sum of three elements:

  1. average curricular
  2. evaluation of thecareer and the peculiarities of the thesis work
  3. evaluation of the final test

In particular:

  1. curricular average (expressed in hundredths) is made up of the CFU-weighted average of the grades reported for the educational activities included in your study plan and is forwarded to the committee by the student secretariats along with your career
  2. 2 points for the evaluation of your career and the peculiarities of the thesis work divided as follows:
  • 1 point for any praise earned and study periods abroad
  • 1 point regarding the work done for the thesis (for example: work already published, development of extensive experimental work, development of original computational models, etc.)
  • 4 points for the final paper divided as follows:
    • from 0 to 3 points for the quality of the final paper
    • from 0 to 1 point for the ability to present and discuss the paper, answering the questions formulated by the committee
  • The final grade is derived from rounding off the score:

    • by default, when decimals are less than or equal to 5
    • by excess, when decimals are greater than 5

The final test is passed if you obtained a grade of not less than 66 points out of 110.
