What is it?

The thesis mobility is a mobility period dedicated to preparing your thesis in a non-EU country. You can choose universities, research centres, public or private institutions and highly qualified companies.

During the mobility, which can last from 2 to 6 months you will receive:

  • a study grant of a variable amount depending on your ISEE-U and the country of destination
  • .
    • a contribution towards travel expenses
    • .

    The amounts are detailed in the individual calls for proposals.

Requirements

You can register for the programme if:

  • .
  • you are regularly enrolled in UniGe (enrolment for a subsequent year beyond the duration of the relevant study course is permitted)
  • you have the language certificate required by the host institution
  • .
  • you have complied with the final examination for your course of study
  • .
  • you have fulfilled all the requirements corresponding to those required for admission to the Erasmus+ call for traineeships

The mobility grant for thesis research in non-EU countries is incompatible with other grants awarded for overlapping mobility periods carried out under the following programmes:

  • Erasmus+ programme for study or traineeship
  • .
  • study courses involving a period of structured mobility abroad for the award of a double degree
  • any other type of mobility abroad promoted by UniGe that provides a financial contribution such as the Cinda Programme, extra Erasmus mobility, etc.
  • .

N.B.You cannot carry out mobility in the country of residence during your studies.

Duration

The minimum expected period is 2 months up to a maximum of 6 months of mobility, to be carried out in the academic year of reference.

Remember that:

  • the mobility must end at least 30 days before the scheduled date of the graduation session
  • in the event that you are unable to graduate by the end of the mobility period, you must register for the following academic year
