Filing the thesis title If you are a final-year student, you must submit the thesis title submission form at least six months in advance of the session chosen for the defence.The title entered on the form is considered provisional; the final title will be the one entered on the degree application. If you need to make substantial changes to the title – for example, if you change the thesis topic or the supervisor and/or co-supervisor – you will need to resubmit the form, which may result in the deadlines being reset.The form, duly completed and signed by the supervisor, must be sent to the email address tesiarealettere@unige.it. Fill in the online Degree Application and Almalaurea Questionnaire To register for your degree examination, the online application service opens approximately two months before the examination session.The degree application is completed online via the Student Portal (UnigePass authentication is required), at the same time as completing the AlmaLaurea questionnaire.The graduation application approved online by the lecturer DOES NOT need to be submitted to the Student Services Desk, nor is it necessary to submit the receipt confirming completion of the AlmaLaurea questionnaire.By the deadline for the degree application, please remember to:Check that you are up to date with your fee paymentsPay the stamp duty for the issue of your degree certificate (payable via the online services – payment of fees and contributions). NB: you can only pay the degree stamp duty after you have confirmed your degree application online.Check that you have sat all the exams and other learning activitiesCheck that they are all recorded on your online academic recordFailure to register your exams and other academic activities does NOT prevent you from confirming your degree application online; this must still be done by the specified deadline.However, to graduate, you must ensure that everything is recorded online.You can check your status by accessing the Degree Dashboard. The annual evaluation is not available to students who are behind in their studies.You may only submit your application for a degree after completing the annual teaching evaluation questionnaire (unless the deadlines have passed: in which case there will be no delay).
