What is

For admission to the graduate examination, you must have completed all the credits required by the educational regulations of your degree program.

The dissertation examination consists of the public discussion of the thesis in front of a committee.

The supervisor will agree with you on a topic that you must address with a commitment proportional to the 15 CFUs attributed to the thesis.

The thesis can have as its subject matter topics related to all the disciplines of your course of study and must be consistent with the objectives of the course, but also with your interests and experiences gained (internship, Erasmus etc...).

The thesis must be characterized by:

  • the originality of the topic, method and/or results obtained
  • the research method
  • the completeness of the bibliographical references
  • a thorough knowledge of the subject and for critical analysis skills

You can write your thesis in English but you must acompany it with an abstract in Italian and in any case you must present it in Italian.

Group thesis

The supervisor may assign a research topic to a group of students, no more than three in number. single title and text of the thesis for all students, with indication in each copy of the thesis of each student's parts

You must all graduate at the same session and each will present and discuss his or her thesis individually to allow for separate evaluation.

Thesis prepared during Erasmus mobility

You will be able to prepare your thesis during your study abroad period and this can have credit recognition from 1 to 14.

The information will be included in your Learning Agreement and then reviewed by the contact person for Erasmus+ procedures.
