Hematology course will provide the cellular and molecular bases to understand the development of neoplastic and non neoplastic disorders. In addition, clinical parametrs and laboratory tools will be presented to implement the correct diagnostic approach to the main hemopathies
KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING
To understand the structure and function of normal hematopoiesis; 2) to recognize the main abnormalities associated with hematological disorders; 3) to understand the main cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying the development of neoplastic diseases.
APPLYING KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING
To be able to perform a proper diagnostic approach in patients suspected to be affected by a blood disease; 2) to be able to collect properly a clinical history; 3) to be able to perform physical examination.
Hematology course includes hematology classes (=21 hours) and attendance of the clinical ward. Hematology classes will be delivered in presence.

The final test includes oral questions. The final test will be delivered in presence.
Students will be only evaluated through the final test. The “Laude” will be attributed to students answering correctly all questions.
