AIMS AND CONTENT

LEARNING OUTCOMES

Analysis of main features of common law  (United Kingdom), civil law (spanish law),and mixed law (maltese code).  Analysis of main institutions: principles of criminal law, crime structure, sentencing.

Comparision of main differences and points of contact between the two types of law: common law e civil law. Analys of main features of scottish law. Short lines about maltese codification. Analysis of main institutes of English law and spanish law (action, omission, chian of causation, defences, attempt, participation)
