OVERVIEW

The course provides basic skills in electronic devices. The student will acquire methods for the analysis an design of widespread electronic configurations such as rectifiers and amplifiers. The ability to solve circuits including operational amplifiers with feedback will be also provided.

The course provides basic skills in electronic devices. The student will acquire methods for the analysis an design of a spectrum electronic configurations, mostly rectifiers, amplifiers, driver circuits.

SYLLABUS/CONTENT

  • Basic notions on device modeling and spec's
  • p-n Junctions and devices: Diodes
  • Diode Applications: rectifiers and filters
  • Bupolar Junction Transistors (BJTs) and Field-Effect Transistors (MOSFETs)
  • Transistor biasing and small-signal analysis
  • BJT configurations: common collector, common emitter
  • MOSFET for analog circuits
  • Transistor applications: amplifiers and digital circuits
  • Operational Amplifiers : theoretical modeling and operation
  • OpAmp circuits with feedback
