Create the foundation for an engineer plant engineer for integrate design aspects and economic-managerial life cycle of complex plants. The training is therefore based on an analysis of general feasibility that allows to define, through sequential steps, the useful elements to the design, construction and facility systems. The course aims to provide students with the conceptual mechanical engineers to study, design and manage these systems through a systemic approach, techniques and methods widely used in industry.

Generalities on process plants and production systems. Features of industrial buildings and related construction criteria, structural loads, lighting, air conditioning work environments. Internal transport and containment means, load units. Elements of design and testing of: cranes, motorized carts, stacker-trucks, conveyors, gravity roller and motorized chain conveyors in single and two-rail conveyors, trucks and special. Transport systems AGV, LGV and logical control of automated systems. System design belt conveyors, bucket elevators and pneumatic conveyors. Characteristics and objectives of the system design service, with particular reference to the distribution service "water".
