The course, with strong interactive features, is proposed to support theoretical lectures with a large "experiential" part in which, through the use of dedicated software, the student can apply personally what learnt during the theoretical explanations.
Combination of traditional lectures (approx. 25 hours) with simulations done both with general purpose codes and power systems oriented ones (approx. 25 hours)
Theory and Simulation of traditional power systems:
Steady-state analysis, Harmonics, power quality, electromechanical and electromagnetic transients
Integration of Renewable energy sources: controls, grid codes and standards analysis.
Microgrids: energy management systems, islanded networks. Application to the test bed facility Smart Polygeneration Microgrid located at the Savona Campus
