The course is focused on the scientific identity of General Pedagogy and, more specifically, the epistemological statute of this science.
For the Course of "Laurea Magistrale in Scienze della Formazione Primaria", it includes a Laboratory (1 CFU) that is part of the course.
The course has, as main purposes, the acquisition of scientific-epistemological knowledges related to General Pedagogy, with a particular attention to logics, contents and languages through which the research dimension of this science is organized.
For the Course of "Laurea Magistrale in Scienze della Formazione Primaria", the specific objectives of the Kindergarten School consist in a deepening of the pedagogical practices, with a particular attention to the educational and formational dimensions involved in the first years of life. The specific objectives of the Primary School consist in an investigation focused on the relation between training and schooling, such as education, teaching and learning.
The acquisition of appropriate knowledges in order to recognize the epistemological criteria of General Pedagogy is finalized to improve the process of comprehension regarding the problematic correlation between theory and practice in pedagogy. A deep elaboration of the knowledges is finalized to improve processes of thinking useful in addressing problems regarding training, schooling, teaching and learning, connected with the didactical dimension.
Course of "Scienze Pedagogiche e dell'Educazione"
The acquisition of appropriate knowledges in order to recognize the epistemological criteria of General Pedagogy is finalized to improve the process of comprehension regarding the problematic correlation between theory and practice in pedagogy. This in order to also achieve a deep knowledge regarding the categorical structure of pedagogy and the necessary semantic skills to operate within the pedagogical framework.
Lectures are conducted in presence of the Professor and they are, predominantly, frontal. Within the course, group activities and seminars can be provided.
The program of the course will consist, mainly, in the following contents: the epistemological statute of General Pedagogy; the topics of the contemporary pedagogical debate; the specific questions of logic, language and method in Pedagogy; the relationship between General Pedagogy, Human and Natural Sciences.

GENERAL PEDAGOGY
It is written.
The written exam is finalized to verify the acquired knowledge by the students and their critical capabilities in the elaboration of the learned contents. In order to this, the exam, lasting 45 minutes, is structured into a small number of open questions. During the time of the exam, students can consult the texts in the program. Students have to attend the exam with the program of the current academic year, even if they are enrolled in previous academic years. If the exam is “not passed”, the students will have to attend the exam again in the same manner. For non-attending students, the exam procedures are the same.<
The frequency signatures will be collected. Any change in the usual teaching activities (classes and office hours) will be reported within the AULAWEB site. FURTHER INFORMATION Also in the academic year 2016-2017, “The Seminar of General Pedagogy” will continue to be done.
