OVERVIEW

The laboratory has operational and application characteristics. It will consist of a series of meetings with professionals who have experience in the primary school and kindergarten.

AIMS AND CONTENT

LEARNING OUTCOMES

The laboratory has, as main purposes, the interpretations of the pedagogical-didactical practice and the experience of pedagogical dimension related to didactical context.

LEARNING OUTCOMES (FURTHER INFO)

The acquisition of appropriate knowledge and effective understanding is aimed at understanding the problematic relationship that is established between theory and practice in pedagogy. This in order to comprehend and solve formational and educational issues related to teaching and learning, developing an autonomous capacity in the critic-problematical elaboration of dimensions associated with formation and education, teaching and learning.
In this regard, the workshop activity includes specific practical and operational insights through the use of individual and group work.

TEACHING METHODS

The laboratory meetings will offer the presentation of specific and concrete pedagogical-didactical situations, regarding which group and individual discussion will be organized.
Even non-attending students are required to attend the Laboratory. Then, they have to make a written paper, which has to be agreed with the Professor and delivered, at least, one month before the exam of General Pedagogy II.

SYLLABUS/CONTENT

The laboratory, associated with the General Pedagogy Course II, aims to:
a) address the macro-dimensions of pedagogical research in regard to educational contexts;
b) investigate the formative micro-dimensions involved in the learning process;
c) analyze the pedagogical skills that are necessary to teacher, in Kindergarten;
d) analyze the pedagogical skills that are necessary to teacher, in Primary School;
e) comprehend the processes of deformation and miseducation that may involve teaching and/or learning practices;
f) recognize, understand and interpret the pedagogical dynamics involved in didactical practices.
