AIMS AND CONTENT LEARNING OUTCOMES The main aim of this course is knowledge of the foundations of geography, in relation to: population, settlements, economic and social structures, landscape LEARNING OUTCOMES (FURTHER INFO) Students will be able to apply their knowledge of geography and the main methods and tools in the design and conduct of educational activities . They also will use the acquired knowledge with self evaluation skills and skills in different application contexts . TEACHING METHODS Lectures with projection of slides and films with analysis of charts , tables , thematic maps and exercises Written test at the end of the lessons only for students who have attended . It will be used aulaweb SYLLABUS/CONTENT After the notional conception of geography, the module aims to define the same starting from the definition of P. Claval "geography is to understand the world as men live it through the landscapes, the assets and the comparison of culture". Geography is now considered an essential science for studying the relationship between man and environment, in the past considered static and is currently being examined in continuous evolution and therefore with theories and more complex methods, such as to always require new investigative tools; so the module aims to provide an appropriate approach to the acquisition of intelligence and spatial orientation of the future teachers to the formation of world citizens able to live in their environment considering it a World Heritage Site, and then edit the future in mind and with a view sustainability. Specifically for kindergarten the discipline objectives: exploring the spaces up to develop spatial orientation skills. Classes will start in March , date not yet defined Class schedule THEORIES AND METHODS OF GEOGRAPHY EXAMS EXAM DESCRIPTION Only for students attending (at least 75% of the classes) is a written examination at the end of the course; The semi-structured written test with questions (open and closed) that require the student to focus on one or more topics covered during the course Oral examination for students not attending: The oral exam includes the discussion through the use of graphs, charts and tables present on the scheduled texts useful to the understanding of the man-environment relationship, peculiar study of geography. Non-attending students will proceed to the critical reading of one of the texts listed below and carrying out an elaborate in-depth written according to the guidelines provided by the teacher during an interview which must take place by the beginning of the first lessons as "provisions for students not attending LM single cycle Sciences of primary Education ", resolution of the course of studies in primary Education of 21.03.2013 Council.
