The course will analyze the main historical methodologies, historiographical theories and sources necessary for building the historical narrative. During the lectures will explain the concept of Archive and will be describing the access mode to the sources
The course has as its main objectives to provide students with the main tools of the historian understood as preparatory skills to develop a critical awareness in the field of historical disciplines, with a social and cultural perspective

The course will start from the concept of history. Particular attention will be paid to theories and methodologies related to historical studies, (in particular with regard to the contemporary age), the types and use of historical sources, both quantitative and qualitative, their presence / absence and the methods of processing and analyzing.
