OVERVIEW

During the lectures will be presented the basic contents of anthropology from the debate between nature and culture to achieve human adaptation , the ecology and the occupation of the territories . Particular attention will be paid to anthropological knowledge in order to enhance the tourist aspects .

AIMS AND CONTENT

LEARNING OUTCOMES

 

In the course we will present the fundamental contents of anthropology : from secular debate about nature and culture , will face the issues of variability , differentiation , adaptation , ecology and the multiple cultural strategies developed in time and space from the different human populations . Particular attention will be devoted to basic knowledge on demo - ethno - anthropological traditions of the territory in order to enhance the tourist aspects , with a non-reductionist

The course has as main objectives :

- To make the student capable of addressing issues concerning the various aspects of tourism through a " anthropological perspective "

- Become aware of the close relationship between the human being and his environment

The concept of normality . The man and the environment .

Nature and culture elements in constant osmosis, not in opposition .

Human populations and territories ,

The human differentiation in time and space .

Elements of proxemics .

Cultural tourism ; tourism and senior citizens : tourism and health.

Tourism and Sustainability : an oxymoron ?

RECOMMENDED READING/BIBLIOGRAPHY

They will be made ​​available to the students some articles in Italian and other articles in English and French (the latter choice) .
