The course aims, on the one hand, to reconstruct the history of bioethics in its different dimensions-medical, environmental, animal -- and, second, to re-examine the ways in which moral reflection responded to the challenges of sciences of life (medicine, biology, ethology, ecology).

The course, of 36 hours, is divided into two modules for a total of 6 credits. In the first module will be offered a general framework about the origins and development of the discipline, the main theories, the most important models. The second module will examine the various bioethical issues in different fields to identify the lines of research.
