The course aims to introduce students to strategic management. Major topics of the course are the nature of the firm, the external and internal environmental analysis, competitive and corporate strategies, the management of some of the corporate functions (operations, finance, R&D).
The course aims to help students to interpretate the companies behaviours with reference to their surrounding environment.
The course aims to provide the main tools to interpretate companies behaviours. It also aims to focus on competitive/ collaborative relationships between companies and their stakeholders.
Traditional lectures are integrated with case studies and seminars (in Italian).

Questions related to the entire course programme. Theoretical models knowledge, critical capacity, techincal language use, and the ability to argument with examples are evaluated.

Attendance is not compulsory; students can choose to study the syllabus for attending or not attending students (see above). Furthermore, a special syllabus – fully in English and for not attending students – is available to foreign students on request.
