OVERVIEW


Lingua e traduzione Russa III includes both a more theoretical component (the "Modulo Teorico" taught by Prof. Karaulova) and a more practical component taught by two native speakers.

AIMS AND CONTENT

LEARNING OUTCOMES

The course will furnish students with advanced notions of Russian linguistics, a solid grammar skill, and active knowledge of Russian vocabulary and syntax.

LEARNING OUTCOMES (FURTHER INFO)

The objective of this course is to teach to students the theoretical aspects of the correct use of verbs in oral and written forms. During the course it will be discussed the theory relevant to verbal prefixes. Each russian prefix has different meaning therefore its choice may bring the person to modify completely the meaning of verbs. Special attention will be paid into the theory of unidirectional and multidirectional, with and without prefix of verbs of motion. It will be explained the figurative and not figurative meaning of verbs and it will be explained the theory of case government.

TEACHING METHODS

Classroom lectures with the possible support of authentic Russian websites. For any information and possible notices, it is recommended to verify periodically the personal web pages of all the professors attending the course in the website of the department.

 

Student participation is compulsory.

SYLLABUS/CONTENT

The course will focus on the development of both active and passive abilities in Russian.

RECOMMENDED READING/BIBLIOGRAPHY

Materials for the Modulo Teorico will be made available in the course folder (Lingue > Karaulova > Documents > Lingua e traduzione russa III 2016/17). The nature and whereabouts of materials for the Lettorato will be announced at the beginning of the course.

EXAM DESCRIPTION

Oral and written

ASSESSMENT METHODS

The final exam is comprehensive of both theoretical and lettorato modules. It is composed of written and oral tests. The written test will consist of three hours test (without dictionary) and it will be provided three times per year. The oral test may be subdivided in different times. Moreover, student competencies will be verified though oral and written exercises during classroom exercitation.
