OVERVIEW

The course is divided into two parts: the first is dedicated to the definition of ethics, the connection between  ethics and deontology, the organizations ethics, the business ethics; the second concerns the ethics of educational processes, the ethical dimension of educational planning, the educator ethics

AIMS AND CONTENT

LEARNING OUTCOMES (FURTHER INFO)

Knowledge: ethics and applied ethics; the relationship ethics - professional ethics; the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR); the stakeholder theory; ethical and deontological principles relating to the profession of trainer; ethics and educational planning

Skills: context analysis capabilities according to ethical criteria; planning mode and ethically sustainable management of educational processes; ability to analyze ethical codes, social reports and other  CSR "tools"

Competencies: implementation and development of ethical competence as a fundamental core competency for the educator; development of the relational dimension listening and analysis of needs based; analysis and resolution of moral dilemmas emerging in the educational process and in the profession of educator

TEACHING METHODS

1. Lectures, at the beginning of the course, aimed at providing the conceptual tools, key words and expressions  

2. Interactive lessons based on students' questions and request. it is, also, provided lessons peer to peer

The lectures will be supported with the use of slides, films, testimonies that will be published in aulaweb

SYLLABUS/CONTENT

Part I: ethics and applied ethics; individual ethics and organizations ethics; ethics and professional ethics; business ethics and CSR; stakeholder theory.

Part II: the educational project; the cultural response to the ethical issues of the company; planning, structure, content of the ethical code; the company  governance; the ethical code management; the educational  intervention near in the company; the relational education; the leadership and  the educator function.

Oral

Examination intends to verify knowledge, skills and competencies acquired by students

ASSESSMENT METHODS

The exam is divided into two phases:

1. Test on the book Per una formazione Umanistica                                                                                                                            2.Test on the book Codici Etici; test on the additional book for not attending students

Inside of both phases is provide for discussion of ethically significant  case studies
The students must obtain a score of at least 18/30 in each of the two phases
