Module “Neuropharmacology”: The aim of the course is to provide the students with knowledge about the main classes of drugs active on the central nervous system. The course will be focused to study the main pharmacological strategies used to modulate the neurochemical and behavioral responses to affect the pathogenetic mechanisms of the main CNS diseases.
Module “Neuropathology”: The aim of the course is to present and discuss the neuropathology of the most common disorders of the central nervous system , such as Parkinson disease and Multiple Sclerosis. Moreover the animal models of multiple sclerosis, experimental allergic encephalomyelitis and of genetic disease of the peripheral nervous system will be presented.

NEUROPHARMACOLOGY AND NEUROPATHOLOGY
Oral.
The examination will be carried out by means of dialogue in which the knowledge acquired by students will be assessed. Particular importance will be given to their ability to present concisely and comprehensively the topics discussed. 3 exam sessions will be available for the Winter and 4 appeals session for the summer session. It will be possible to establish appeals outside of the periods indicated prior agreements with the teachers.
