The main aim of the course is to provide students with a good knowledge of the models and theories of the economics and policy of tourism

Course description

The course aims to provide analytical instruments required to understand and critically examine the reasons of economic nature guiding the actions of consumers, enterprises and public operators in the tourism sector.

  We will analyze some basic aspects of microeconomics and macroeconomics and the problems concerning the identification of the components of tourism in the context of national accounts. Some considerations will concern the role of the European Union in the field of tourism

. Guido Candela, Paolo Figini,  Economia del Turismo e delle Destinazioni, McGraw-Hill, Milano,2^ed., 2010). Will be indicated later parts of the text to be studied.
