The course moves from two assumptions. First, ethics is intrinsecally linked with economic rationality. Second, firms not only produce goods and services for the market but also internal and external relationships between persons. As a consequence, corporate social responsibility (CSR) is a way both to understand the firm's nature and to manage it in a perspective of common good and sustainability.
After presenting these assumptions, the course explores the main topics related to CSR governance, management and tools.
Lectures, case studies, seminars by operators, individual and group works.
